If you live in Nevada and need medical care, there are federally qualified health centers (FHQCs) located throughout the state that offer discounted (or free) health care. FQHCs are designated health centers partially supported by the federal government and they are obligated to provide health care to all individuals regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. FQHCs are located in underserved areas across the United States, including urban, rural, and suburban communities. There are more than 1,400 FQHCs in the United States, serving more than 30 million patients each year.
